Using a google domain with my web app

I am a bit confused how to set up a custom domain name with my website. I just purchased arpeggio-app.com from Google Domains. At the moment, my web app hosted here can be found at jtbrown1994.pythonanywhere.com

I set up my google domain to forward to my pythonanywhere url. What I am having trouble wrapping my head around is how to set up my pythonanywhere app to use my google domain, and not the pythonanywhere url.

Any tips on this?

On your webapp page, click on the pencil icon to change your webapp from jtbrown1994.pythonanywhere.com to www.arpeggio-app.com. It will then show you DNS setup instructions. Take the given webapp-xxxxx.pythonanywhere.com address and go to google domains, and setup the cname for www to point to webapp-xxxxx.pythonanywhere.com.

Take a look at the PythonAnywhere help pages for more details.
