I have a paid account and have been issues of lately trying to connect with either WinSCP or Filezilla. The error message I am currently getting from WinSCP is as follows:
Connection has been unexpectedly closed.
Server sent command exit status 127.
Cannot initialize SFTP protocol. Is the host running an SFTP server?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Are you able to ssh into your account using the same credentials?
Hi fjl, I can connect fine via the command line with the same credentials.
Does SFTP work from the command line, as described here: https://help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/UploadingAndDownloadingFiles/? Also, if you're saying "lately", have you changed anything locally? Like the version of Filezilla? Or your network in some way? Perhaps you can try on a different network connection to see if that changes anything?
