I bought a domain name from namecheap.com and i have pointed the CNAME to the address. When i reload my web app and tries to open it, it will tell me "this www.mydomain.com can't be found". Please tell me what I have not done.

DNS update will usually take 24 to 48 hours to take effect. That's it.. just wait and relax. If your configuration is correct then that's done, let DNS servers do the magic.

It looks like it's propagated now. Like @ethicalpinoy says, it can take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to propagate. You can make it faster in the future if you change the TTL settings for the CNAME record; TTL is "time to live", which means the number of seconds that DNS servers will cache the current settings. If you set it to (say) 300 now, then if you change it in the future, it should be much faster (though it might take longer than 300 seconds in total, because there can be multiple levels of caching in DNS).
