problem with extra software

Hello and thanks for the free service, but I need an external software for my program (it is for a university project) and I cannot install it since I have no root access (apt install ffmpeg) , is it possible to get ffmpeg installed from an administrator? thanks in advance

We have avconv installed, which is a more up-to-date fork of ffmpeg -- perhaps you can change the program to use that instead?
