ERROR 2005 (HY000): Unknown MySQL server host 'mysql.server'

When I type in "mysql -utableserrywhere -hmysql.server -p" to get to my dbase, I can't enter a password. When I try to, I get the message in the title.

is the correct host mysql.server? Check your databases tab for the correct host
