When the whole system goes down (like just now) with a 502 error is it possible to have a more friendly error page than the default nginx 502 page? What I would really like is to have a customisable page for my web2py website that users would see rather than the bare 502 error message - any suggestions as to how I can do this?

This is a feature we should indeed add. Though, much more intelligent load balancing should go live soon and prevent this from happening at all!
