Yes, same issue. Doesn't work without VPN.
Unfortunately it appears that pythonanywhere.com is being blocked from many (possibly all) Russian IP addresses at this time.
Same here. Russian users can't access my app; only a VPN helps. Is this a permanent block or was your IP address range blocked by mistake? What should I expect next? Will there be an unblocking or a solution?
Same here
Today, December 28, in Russia, the Python hosting service PythonAnywhere stopped working; all sites hosted on it ceased to function. I noticed this first when my sites on the PythonAnywhere hosting (wednors and wednorslink) stopped working. Just now, on https://eais.rkn.gov.ru/, I checked, and the PythonAnywhere site is not on the list of blocked sites, but apparently it will appear soon. If I have time, I'll submit a complaint to the RKN on their web resource. I ask PythonAnywhere to look into this.
For those of you in Russia, are you able to pay for the services? Why is my payment not going through? (PythonAnywhere doesn't open without a VPN connection)
There is nothing we could do about that. It's not the first time. See https://blog.pythonanywhere.com/163/
у меня тоже не работает, как дня 5-6. Думаю со стороны платформы идут ограничения
There is nothing we can do if Russian ISPs are blocking us I'm afraid.
goddamn... we're all just tired of these blocks
This is not something we’re doing at our end. When PythonAnywhere is unreachable from Russia, the blocking is happening at the ISP or national filtering level, not on our side.
Unfortunately, if Russian ISPs block our domains or IP ranges, there’s nothing we can do to override that. This has happened before: https://blog.pythonanywhere.com/163/
We don’t have visibility into whether or when such blocks might be lifted, and access restrictions can also prevent payments from completing.
Users affected will need to follow whatever access options are legal and permitted in their jurisdiction.
Pythonanywhere is hosted on AWS, which is blocked in Russia, that's why you can't access it in Russia
