Add Python Anywhere MYSQL database to Google Data Studio

Hi,

I would like to add a Python AnyWhere MYSQL database as a source on Google Data Studio but I dont seem to be able to. When checking the help page on Google, there seems to be a list of IP to whitelist : https://support.google.com/datastudio/answer/7088031?hl=en&ref_topic=7332343 Is it possible to whitelist them for my account ?

Thank you

Due to security constraints, you cannot easily access your MySQL database externally. See this for the only way to access it.

I am trying to do the same thing, was this ever able to be resolved?

See the documentation that conrad linked to. The IP of your MySQL server may change without warning, so whitelisting an IP is not a stable option.

I am also trying to connect Google Data Studio to my MySQL DB on Python Anywhere. They don't seem to offer an SSH connection but they do offer SSL. Is there any way to use that technology to create a connection? Thank you, Ben

This is just a scam to make you have to get a paid account lol

There's no way using SSL directly, unfortunately :-(

@giles Thank you

@dull I already have a paid account. Actually, the costs seem quite reasonable compared to the alternatives.
