I have created a few custom domains before at PA but never had an issue before until now.

Followed the directions and had a help agent looked over my CNAME config at NameCheap. I reviewed a few more times and it looks fine to me. According to https://www.whatsmydns.net/#CNAME/www.ihearmouth.com , it seems to show the right values.

But when the browser shows that familiar "Coming Soon!" page instead of my webapp. Whenever I reload the app via control panel, it says my CNAME is wrong.

Is there something else that could go wrong?

You don't have a web app at www.ihearmouth.com. That's why you're getting the coming soon page.
