I suspect most of us liking Python prefer server-side dev and technology. Wondering if you've hired a designer for a very small short-term project before and how did that go? Did you do this over the web? Thinking I need to tweak some css. It's not difficult but I'm sure someone with more visual talent could do the adjustments better and faster.

my one advice would be to make sure that you can easily take what the designer has come up with and implement it easily on your own code base. (eg: if you just have a static home page that you want to get tweaked, make sure he builds a mockup of css modifiers etc based on the homepage html/by adding classes to that html)
